about

(words & music by Barry Keys) I am singing to my 1965 Buick LeSabre. This car was a friend for 30+ years. Big, thick and precision made. The doors closed very tight. Brought the kids home from the hospital. Carried keyboards and amps for decades. In this story, it is the symbol for everything that is good about America. The 1965 Buick LeSabre was technologically advanced for its time. It had great style and was completely dependable. Even though it sounds like a lament for the past, it is really a blue print for the future. Taking the time to get it right and working as a team. Supporting the other members and doing what you can to make the next guy’s job a little easier. Then, he will do the same.

They Don’t Make Them words & music by Barry Keys

Once upon a time in America
There was a reputation made
It wasn’t that we worked so smart or harder
We used our hearts to make our dreams come true

They don’t make them like they used to
They don’t make them like they used to do
They don’t make them like they used to
They don’t make them like they ever made you.

Lonesome highway of the American dream
Our freedom is not for sale
We owe our courage to the brave ones before us
Part of a history of doing the best that we can

They don’t make them like they used to, Darling
They don’t make them like they used to do
They don’t make them like they used to, Sweet One
They don’t make them like they ever made you.

BRIDGE
We might recover
If we just rediscover
That to help one another is the way to
Is the way to pull it through

They don’t make them like they used to, Darling
They don’t make them like they used to do
They don’t make them like they used to, Sweet One
They don’t make them like they ever made you.
